A pair of room shoes is an essential part of every Japanese home. This breathable version of a Japanese-style home shoe is made from Sasawashi fabric, a pill-free material that effortlessly absorbs moisture and odours from the skin. The combination of antibacterial kumazasa extract and a breathable washi weave keeps these room shoes feeling fresh and comfortable in any season. Designed to be worn with or without socks, Sasawashi's Japanese-style home shoes can be enjoyed year-round.
The inside of the shoe is also made of SASAWASHI, which absorbs moisture and keeps the shoe clean. The outer soles are made of a suede-like material for soft walking comfort.
Kumazasa is a bamboo native to Japan and Sakhalin. Kumazasa has been valued for many of its properties such as as a disinfectant, antiseptic, expectorant and even a remedy for bad breath.
Washi is traditional Japanese paper processed by hand using fibres from the inner bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub Edgeworthia chrysantha, or the paper mulberry

Room Shoe Sizing Tips: These Japanese-style room shoes are designed for maximum comfort and are very forgiving when it comes to sizing, but it is important that the user's foot is not larger than the footbed. Please use the sizing chart above to inform product selections and customer decisions. Note that, in addition to the US sizing equivalents outlined here, foot measurements can be taken in centimeters and compared to the Japanese sizes, which are also measured in centimeters If a person falls between sizes, they may want to round up, and if they have particularly wide feet, they should also consider moving up a size.

The back of the slipper is made of two pieces of SASAWASHI laminated together. The back part of the slipper is made of two pieces of SASAWASHI, so the extra insulation shuts out the cold. These slippers are light and soft to wear, and are highly recommended for relaxing at home.

EXPRESS Post takes 1-2 business days. REGULAR Post takes 1-5 working days.
FREE SHIPPING is available on purchases over $150 (IANS stocked items). Orders over $400 will be shipped for free by Express Post.
DESPATCH TIMES: Orders received before 12:00 PM will ship the same day. Orders received after 12:00 PM will ship the next business day. We do not ship orders on weekends or public holidays
LOCAL PICK UP: Brisbane customers may choose to collect IANS stocked items from our despatch address.

Returns
xWe accept returns within 14 days from the shipping date. Shipping is non-refundable (including free shipping paid by us). Bank fees will also be deducted from your refund.
